The statement prepared during the land survey about the ownership of the land is called 'Khatian'.
According to the Ministry of Lands, all other land service digitization activities including e-namjari are basically a part of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's special initiative 'Digital Bangladesh'. E-namzari program was started on 1 February 2017 in 8 upazilas of Bangladesh in the form of pilot.
Ongoing initiatives in land management were reviewed at a meeting held at the conference room of the Prime Minister's Office on 25 July 2017 to facilitate land services. During the meeting, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Information and Communication Technology, inspected the e-namzari system adopted as a pilot and directed for speedy implementation of e-namzari across the country. Accordingly, under the supervision of the Ministry of Land, the Land Reform Board ensures connectivity with hardware supply in the Upazila and Union Land Offices and provides financial and technical assistance for a2i trainer-training and user training.
On the occasion of the celebration of Mujib centenary, the acceptance of manual application has been stopped from March 17, 2020. E-Namjari is being implemented along with other land service digitization through Land Reform Board with the overall support of ICT Department and a2i Project.
